Hi, I'm Shanen
I'm a mom, a rancher, and the one who answers your emails. My husband and I raise cattle on our family ground in southern Iowa, and I feed my own kids the same beef I sell you.
I built this workshop because families kept asking me the same three questions: how much do I need, where do I put it, and is it really cheaper. Now you have my honest answers.
Questions I get every single day
Which size is right for me?
An eighth is about 40 to 45 lbs and is a great place to start. A quarter is about 90 lbs, and a half is about 180 lbs and is best for families. I walk through how to choose in the replay.
I don't have a deep freezer. Can I still do this?
Yes. An eighth fits in the top of a typical garage freezer. For a quarter or a half, a chest or upright freezer is worth it and pays for itself.
What cuts do I get?
Every share is about 30% premium steaks, 30% roasts and slow cooker cuts, and 40% ground beef. Bones and organ meats are available on request.
When do I get my beef?
Quarters go out Fall or Winter, and halves go out Winter. I contact you when your beef is ready and we set a date that works for your family.
What do I pay now versus later?
You reserve with a deposit: $500 for an eighth, $750 for a quarter, $999 for a half. The balance is due before delivery. Pay in full at checkout on an eighth and save $200, or on a half and save $100.
Is shipping really free?
Yes. Home delivery is included in the Des Moines metro, and shipping is free everywhere else in the US. Processing is included too.
