Fall 2026 pre-sale

Reserve your beef before we sell out

We raise every animal here on our family ranch in southern Iowa. Grassfed, grass-finished, never a feedlot. When these shares are spoken for, we're done until spring.

  • Grassfed and grass-finished on our own pasture
  • Cut to your specs at a local locker — you pick your steaks, roasts, and grind
  • Vacuum sealed, flash frozen, labeled and boxed
  • Pickup at the ranch or delivery on our fall route
  • A deposit holds your share; the balance is due when you pick up

Who's talking

Hi, I'm Shanen

I'm a mom, a rancher, and the one who answers your emails. My husband and I raise cattle on our family ground in southern Iowa, and I feed my own kids the same beef I sell you.

I built this workshop because families kept asking me the same three questions: how much do I need, where do I put it, and is it really cheaper. Now you have my honest answers, no sales pitch buried in them.

Questions I get every single day

I don't have a deep freezer. Can I still do this?

Yes. A quarter share fits in most standard fridge-freezers if you clear a shelf, and I walk through exactly how in the replay. If you want a half or a whole, a small chest freezer is worth every penny and pays for itself the first year.

How do I know which cuts I'm getting?

You fill out a cut sheet and tell the butcher what your family actually eats. I'll send you mine, already filled out, so you have a starting point instead of a blank form.

When do I get my beef?

Your animal goes to the locker on the date listed on your order, and beef is ready for pickup or delivery two to three weeks after that. I email you the moment yours is scheduled.

What do I pay now versus later?

A $100 deposit holds your spot. Balance due at pickup. The final amount depends on hanging weight, so I send an itemized invoice before pickup — no surprises.

Can I split a share with someone?

People do it all the time. Order the size you want together, decide who's picking up, and split the cuts at the kitchen table. One person needs to be on the order.

Your freezer isn't going to fill itself
