Full Family Freeezer

Full family freezer beef grassfed easy simple meals

There is a certain kind of comfort in opening your freezer and knowing supper is in there.

You might not have decided what you’re making yet. The day might have gotten away from you. There might be boots by the door, laundry waiting, and somebody asking when we’re going to eat.

But you have beef.

You have options.

And you don’t have to make a trip to town before you can feed your people.

I’m RanchMama Shanen, and that’s what I mean when I talk about The Full Family Freezer.

It’s more than having food tucked away. It’s the quiet reassurance of knowing you have something good to put on the table.

One less thing to worry about

Feeding a family involves a lot of thinking that nobody sees.

What do we have? What do we need? When can I get groceries? What will everybody eat? What can I make when we get home late?

A stocked freezer doesn’t answer every question. But it gives you a place to begin.

Ground beef can become tacos, spaghetti, or a warm skillet supper. A roast can be the start of a family meal, with enough left to help with another. Steaks can be waiting for the evening you finally have time to gather around the grill.

Instead of starting with, “We have nothing for supper,” you get to ask, “What sounds good from what we already have?”

That feels different.

Especially at the end of a long day.

Security can look like supper already being at home

When I say a full freezer gives a family security, I mean the everyday kind.

The week somebody gets sick.

The afternoon the car needs fixing.

The stretch when work runs late, the kids need you, and a grocery trip feels like one more thing you cannot squeeze in.

Having food at home gives you a little breathing room.

It doesn’t make the unexpected disappear. But it can mean that, while you’re dealing with everything else, supper is already covered.

Sometimes taking care of your family looks like cooking a beautiful meal.

Sometimes it looks like pulling out a package of ground beef and thinking, “Okay. I can make this work.”

Both count.

There is comfort in knowing where your beef came from

For me, a full freezer means even more when you know the family who raised the beef inside it.

You can ask questions. You can learn how the cattle were cared for. You have a real person to reach out to when you’re unsure which cut to choose or how to cook it.

At Ebersole Cattle Co., our family raises grass-fed and grass-finished beef here in Southern Iowa.

When you bring our beef into your kitchen, I want you to feel comfortable using it. Ask me about that roast. Tell me how many people you’re feeding. Let’s figure out a supper that works for your family.

Knowing your rancher should make feeding your people feel more personal.

And a little less overwhelming.

Your freezer doesn’t have to look like anybody else’s

The Full Family Freezer isn’t a contest to see who can store the most beef.

It’s having an amount that fits your household, your space, and the way you cook.

Maybe you reach for ground beef several nights a week. Maybe your family loves a slow-cooked roast. Maybe you want a mix of everyday favorites and a few steaks for something special.

Start there.

You don’t need to buy cuts you won’t use or fill every inch at once. A smaller supply of familiar favorites can still give you that lovely feeling of being prepared.

The goal is to open the freezer and see meals you know how to make.

A simple plan turns a full freezer into easier evenings

You don’t need to plan a month of suppers.

Start with the next few days.

Take a quick look at what you have before making your grocery list. Choose a few meals that fit your week, and plan ahead to thaw the beef in the refrigerator.

Then give yourself permission to keep it simple.

That’s where my Cook Once, Eat Three Times method comes in. One batch of ground beef can give you a head start on three different suppers.

The freezer holds the food. A little planning helps you use it.

Together, they take some of the pressure off that daily question: “What’s for supper?”

Having enough to share

There’s another kind of comfort in a stocked freezer.

Being able to say, “Stay for supper.”

Having something to make for a friend who’s had a hard week.

Knowing an extra person at the table doesn’t always require another trip to the store.

Food is one of the ways we care for each other. Having some on hand makes it a little easier to turn that caring into a meal.

Nothing fancy required.

This is what I want for your family

I want you to open your freezer and feel relief.

To see the beginning of a few good suppers. To know who raised your beef. To feel a little more ready for the week ahead.

You still have a busy life. You still have dishes to wash and people who will ask what’s for supper tomorrow.

But you have a place to start.

That’s The Full Family Freezer.

Food you trust. Meals you can make. People you get to gather around your table.

When you’re ready to start filling yours, explore our family’s beef at Ebersole Cattle Co..

We gather cows. You gather your people.

Thank you for letting our family feed your family.
